Woo Hoo Kylee!!!!

So my dad bought Kylee a four wheeler for Christmas, not a toy one from Wal-Mart, but an actual kids sized four wheeler. She was sooooo excited. Well Casey told her that she couldn't ride her four wheeler til she learned to ride her bike without training wheels. She's 6 she should know how to ride with out training wheels!

So a few weeks ago, he told her that all he wanted for his birthday was for her to ride her bike with out training wheels, immediatley she starts freaking out, "I'm not ready yet, I can't do it yet". So he tells her they will go out everyday and practice, well the weather has been so crappy they haven't been able to practice. She wakes up on Monday and says, "Mom, Casey's birthday is Sunday" I say "yeah" she says "I'm not ready to ride my bike with no training wheels yet!" Lol! Kids are sooo funny.

So last night we took her to an empty church parking lot, and worked with her for a bit, she was riding her bike by herself with no training wheels most of the time and didnt' even know it! We move to the lower parking lot where there wasn't so much of a slant and she did it all by herself! She didn't want either one of us to help her. She was having a hard time getting started, so Case was going to go help her and she yelled at him "don't come over here Casey, I can do it myself". I don't know who was prouder, me or Casey. She finally got her self started and let out a big "YES' when she was peddeling down the road.

As a parent, I know you all know how good it feels when your child accomplishes something they don't think is possible. I felt like crying last night because I was sooooo proud, I looked over and could see that Casey was just as proud of our little monkey riding her bike with no help.

So all I can say is "Woo hoo Kylee, you go girl!"

I second the WooHoo! Good job Kylee! Good job Jen and Casey too! We about had to give up on Thomas ever learning, but he finally got it down last summer. It's been nice for us, because he will ride it to school. It's been good for his confidence too! Stay safe on the 4 wheeler! Happy Birthday Casey! 1 more year til you are old!
