Miller Update

Well not much has been going on in our little world. It's been HOT, like HOT HOT!!! Today I drove past the high school and the sign said it was 115 degrees. So now you know why people in St. George don't have tans! I always get asked that question, and it's because it's too flippin hot outside during the day to be out sun bathing!!

Today is Pioneer Day here in Utah, being in St. George I thought they would have a parade and stuff in the Park, but nope. Ivins had a parade (Ivins is a "suburb" of St. George) so we've stayed home today, with the exception of the 1 1/2 hour we wasted at InstaCare. Nothing serious, Ky has had a cough since the beginning of the month and now she's having a hard time hearing, so I thought I'd run her over while I've got her. She goes back to her dads on Sunday and I won't see her again til 8/1. So we go to the one closest to us.....it's closed for the Holiday, so we go across town to the one near the hospital and it's a two hour wait because they are the only InstaCare open in the whole area! WTH!!! I mean seriously! So we waited an hour and kept being bumped down in priority, so I finally said screw it, got our co pay back and came home. URRRGGG.

Casey is waiting to hear back on a position change at work, hopefully we hear good news on Monday, please keep him in your prayers, he needs a change of pace. The job he has now is sapping him of all his energy. He is still trudging along with school and should be on track for graduating 11/11.

My back is still all screwed up, I go again on Monday to the Chiropractor and if he doesn't like what he sees, then I am going to have to go in for an MRI on my back. I look way funny, I can't stand straight, I lean to my right and walk with a gimp cause my right leg is shorter than my left. It looks funny, but sure doesn't feel funny, I am having muscle spasm in my back that almost make me wet my pants, I can barely pick Brayden up and moving around the house is a chore in its self. I am too young to be dealing with this crap! On another note, the med's I'm taking for my thyroid are starting to kick in, I don't feel as tired anymore after a full nights sleep (which because of my back I haven't gotten in the last two days, **sigh**), but I am starting to feel like myself again.

Kylee is getting ready to start 3rd grade!!! Holy crap where did the time go? She starts school on August 11th, so early!! She got her first phase of braces on this past Monday and was a trooper, no whining or anything, and for that she was awarded a prize by the Orthodontist office! She had her choice of  a Wii or iPod touch! It was actually a promotion they were running, with a new contract you got to choose between the two, so I gave Ky the ultimatum, you whine we (Casey and I) get the Wii, you don't whine and you can have the iPod. She did really good! We've signed her up for soccer this year so she will be playing in the fall, and then on to Softball again in the Spring. We already know she LOVES softball, but she's been wanting to try soccer, so we shall see how that goes.

Brayden will be 11 months old on the 28th! He is saying mama and some other gibberish that sound like words, and of course as parents we are like "did you hear that! He said ___". He is standing on his own, walking around furniture, and today he actually took 3 little baby steps to Kylee. He still adores his sister and is lost when she is not here, he just lights up when he sees her. I can't believe he is going to be a year old in a month!
