Ah Fall...,

Well September is here, for most places that means cooler temperatures and the leaves changing on trees. For us it means that temps have now dropped into the 90's and the tree's, well they are still green. Not that I'm complaining, I love our weather ( as a matter of fact, I got a sunburn yesterday sitting at Ky's soccer game!), I do however miss the change in season, I love watching the trees change color's. Here they really don't change colors, the leaves just fall off when it's time. Oh well, such is the life I chose by living here!

Speaking of fall, Ky has started her first season in Soccer! She absolutely loves it, they had there first game yesterday, and only have had two practices. It was a bit of chaos, but so fun to watch. Soccer is a sport I am totally unfamiliar with, so I get to just sit on the sidelines and scream. I have no idea about penalties, or rules so I can't get caught up in that aspect of the game. I just sat and screamed at the girls to run and kick! Even Brayden got into all the screaming and yelling, he was sitting in his stroller just yelling at whoever would listen to him. For all the lack of knowledge, the girls did really good, before half time the score was 3-2 them, then when we switched sides I think our girls got a little discombobulated, cause it went down hill from there, score ended up being 6-3, but I think they all had fun. Should be a fun season.

Brayden is a walking, jabbering machine. He walks around the house shaking his finger at things and just talking, he has become quite shy around people, which is probably my fault since we don't go any where. He has no interaction with people, but after about 10 minutes he's fine and running around. We took him to the park last week, and just let him run around the grass, he found some dirt around the base of a tree and thought that was the greatest thing ever. We still have yet to get him to leave shoes on, so he runs barefoot everywhere. He had his one year check up and was right on track for everything. Height was 32.25in, weight was 23.59 lbs he is in the 97% for his height, which means he is a bit taller than most kids his age, and 63 % for his weight, which is pretty good.

Casey is still trucking a long in school, and is just finishing up a class for web design, he did a spec site for his work, and it looks great, I am so proud of him. He is doing so well is school, keeping an "A" average is tough, when you work the hours he does, then comes home and does the family stuff with us.

I went back to the doctor, my thyroid is back on track, still not losing weight, but I can't exercise due to the herniated disc, but we are trying to get out and walk more and drink lots more water. The doc gave me some meds, to help suppress my appetite and see if we can't jump start my metabolism again. I am also on Prevacid for an ulcer, so that will help with the hear burn. We are going to try and start eating better, not that we eat all that unhealthy, but we do love our carbs! We LOVE pasta, so if any of you who read this (I know there aren't that many), but if you do and have any meal ideas for us, we would be grateful.

We took the kids to the rodeo this weekend, both loved seeing the animals. Ky was way excited cause she got the rodeo queens autograph on her program, she loved seeing the horses, and cattle, but she loved the barrel racing, I wish we had horses around, I'm sure she would love to do that.

I have one complaint about the rodeo though, and those of you who read my face book already saw this complaint, but I'm going to go into more detail.

Friday night was "Tough enough to wear Pink night", it was a night to support Breast Cancer Awareness, which I think is awesome! I do wish they would do a "general cancer awareness" night, but that's just cause I'm so great full to have Casey, and I might not if it wasn't for the great doctors at the Huntsman that helped save him.

Anyways, so they are doing the opening ceremony, they have kids with pink balloons come in and they release them in honor of all the breast cancer victims. The announcer starts talking about the hero's in our communities, then out walks 4 firefighters in a line, then 4 police men in a line, then 4 EMT's in a line, the 5 solders in full combat gear carrying there rifles in a V formation (at this point I am tearing up cause it is so cool, and I'm an emotional dork like that!), then they bring in a HUGE tank! It was soooo cool (I'm getting goose bumps just writing about it) they bring the tank into the middle of the arena and turn it so it is facing the 50 foot American flag hanging at the end of the arena, then all of the sudden you hear this loud noise and look up and there is a huge Apache helicopter flying over us, it was so cool! Even Brayden was pointing up and following it. It flew over twice then landed in the field next to the rodeo arena. Then they started raising the flag, every one in the arena was one there feet (probably over 1000ppl) except for the Hispanic lady and her kids behind me. So they start the anthem and she is on the phone talking and her kids are screaming, I got so upset! Casey and I turned on her at the same time, he shot her a look and I shushed her! I couldn't believe I actually did that, but I was instantly pissed that she wouldn't get off the phone. I am not a racist person, some of my best friends are Hispanic, but I was instantly filled with rage with her utter lack of respect. It would have been one thing if she just hadn't stood up, but the talking just sent me over the edge. You are in OUR country, and want US to give you OUR benefits, then show some respect, shut the hell up and stand up dammit!! She didn't sit behind us for long, she moved right after.  I tried not to let it bother me, but the more I thought about it the more I got upset. So I just needed to rant about it, and Casey was probably tired of hearing about it, so you lucky buggers get to read about it!!

Anyways, that's about all that is going on in our lives right now. September should be a laid back month of just soccer and school for Ky, school for Casey, and more job hunting for me.
